"Black Man Work" vs. "White Man Work"

In the 1950’s African-Americans and whites were treated very differently. Although everything was supposed to be separate but equal, this rule was not enforced. For everything the white people received better treatment, including baseball fields, water fountains, schools, and wages. The wages for the same work, differed depending on what race you were. However, there was definitely “black men work” and “white men work.” A black man could do a “white men work” for far less than a white man would receive. However, black men usually stuck to doing “black men work” and white men usually only did “white men work.” This was not fair at all and everyone knew that, but that didn’t stop anyone from changing it, yet.

"White Man Work." (Left) This man seems to be working in some type of factory/store where as for "Black Man Work" (Right) they are working laboriously in the fields in the hot sun.
